“Runaway Train”

Runaway Train

Loving is like a runaway train

It goes so fast you never know

What the end of the track will be

Emotions don’t have an on-and-off button

So it is hard to control the speed

At which you will go

Like a train, it is better to start slow

And gradually build up to the highest speed

Or plateau

If too fast, you could jump off the track or crash

A train ride, like a relationship

Can be a pleasant and smooth ride

It can be frightening and an unpredictable experience

  1. You should come and join this fab author’s site over at MARSocial Barb – they love it when you share your work and there is a poetry competition on one of their groups “New Poets” every week. I won last week so it’s my turn to judge the competition this week and I chose the theme of ‘Love Poetry’. You have so many beautiful poems you could share there. I think you would meet some great new author friends over there. 😉 http://marsocial.com/groups/new-poets/
